Collective Tarotscope: New Moon in Virgo Tarot Reading

What can perfectionism mean when we understand that we are already whole?

Welcome, loves!

The New Moon in Virgo is an opportunity for us to reflect upon our ideals.

Perfectionism is a shadow of the Virgo archetype, and this collective tarotscope explores our collective relationship to perfectionism.

Virgo is an archetype that cannot be reduced down to a meme, as funny as they may be. I have a love and hate relationship with astrology memes, to be honest. They can be simultaneously hilarious and reductive.

An earth sign, mutable with a receptive charge, Virgo rules the sixth house of health, routine, chores, and tasks. It is a hard worker, focused on the attention to the details, which is where it can be a bit of a perfectionist hard on itself as well as on others. A bit anal, and a nag. But that perfectionism can come from a very pure desire seeking wholeness, integrity. There is something beautiful in that devotion to the craft, and in that desire for union (Piscean polarity).

This New Moon in Virgo is in strong trine with Uranus, suggesting that this is a time of emotional awakening.

Read below for the written summary!

Card I: Message from the Moon Seed of Thunder.

The gift of new perspectives. Embody someone else’s truth. Feel in to the pure gift of new ideas.

Card II: Our relationship to perfectionism. Five of Thunder.

Perfectionism is a characteristic of yt supremacy culture, and we are moving away from the myth of the individual to being comfortable with asking for help. Recognizing we need support and that we can give support. In twisting the idea of perfectionism inside out, what would it mean to focus less on creating perfection within ourselves to focus on co-creating utopia on earth?

Card III: Our tarot anchor to harness the cosmic energy of the New Moon in Virgo. The Star.

We look to the stars but the stars are within us. An invitation to lean in to the unseen and to be in awe of our dreams. Remember your Why and connect your mundane to the profound.

Decks Used:
