Imagine yourself in the middle of the ocean. You can’t tell where water and sky meet. You are adrift, afloat. You are one with the water.
Pisces is an archetype of the oceanic consciousness, of the cosmic womb. My teacher and astrologer, Sabrina Monarch, shares in her horoscope, “One of the ideals of Pisces is to merge with the all – this could look like a spirit-led life that is fully IN the body. This is as opposed to being a dreamer who doesn’t materialize their dreams (only fantasizes) or someone who neglects the material in favor of the spiritual. This is also opposed to someone who is so intoxicated by circumstance and appearances that they don’t contemplate the larger meaning or pulse behind it all… To work with Piscean reality is to acknowledge that everything material conceivably has immaterial or invisible counterparts.”
Today we explore embodiment in honour of the Piscean archetype. We look at what our collective relationship to spirit is, to body, and what our driving vision is with embodiment, and what are illusions that hold us back from that vision.
Embodiment is a term that I hear a lot in wellness spaces, and it makes sense if you consider how much soul learning we did at the start of the pandemic that often meant buying books, hiring teachers, and we may have hit a wall. Learning is not necessarily applying the knowledge, and knowledge itself isn’t necessarily wisdom. Or a wisdom that can be felt and shared with others.

Card 1: Our current relationship to spirit 4 of Wands
The pendulum shifts, and talking about our spirit and our soul may no longer be met with blank stares, skepticism, or dismissal. Rejoice that more and more are coming to terms with acknowledging the non-rational, that there is an openness to recognize we have a spirit, that we need to tend care to it.
Card 2: Our current relationship to body The Star
In the past, we did not see our body as a vehicle for transformation. A new chapter? We see our body not for what it can do for us and what it can produce for us, but are hopeful for seeing the joy that it can bring to us.
Card 3: Our vision of embodiment Knight of Wands
To be embodied means to come into our power. We crave to know we are making the right decisions on a spiritual and practical level. We want to feel certain that the choices we make are right for us. Our goal with embodiment is to live our truth. My tarot teacher says, the Knight of Wands is not a follower but also not a leader. This is following the beat of your drum.
Card 4: Illusions that hold us back from that vision Page of Wands
There is only so much work that we can do for ourselves. The illusion that holds us back is that we may not be worthy to be seen or loved if we do not heal first. We must have people in our lives who hold space for us even if we make mistakes, slip up. Our growth is not our individual burden.
